Mission Statement

Empowering the families in North Marion County with education, material needs and emotional support to gain stability and self-worth. We are working to help those individuals who want a better life to achieve their goals by offering the services they need to achieve their goals. We offer help with job searches, budgeting, home ownership andmuch more…

Hope Outreach Help Center was originally Christ’s S.O.S Outreach here in Citra on Highway 318 in the house by the railroad tracks, my priority was housing women and children but I also had a small food pantry and clothes closet for the local community. Had a Thrift Store in the front of the house and we gave away and sold a lot of donated items which funded the outreach.

After my then husband Lance Schaefer died of kidney failure in 2009 I closed the housing for women and children and concentrated on the food pantry and other helps as my database was large and many needed the help.

We have rented space in the community centers here in Citra and also did monthly giveaways when we had no funding for rental.

As of 2017 God has blessed us with our own property due to my son Jason Vidal and I purchasing it together so I would not have to haul stuff around since I am getting old now LOL.

We are working to make Citra and especially Lake & Meadows subdivision a better place to live. You can help!

We are working to bring more services to our area such as a police substation (thanks Sheriff Billy Woods for making it happen. Also, for more patrols in the area.

Better roads, more housing and many other services not offered in our North Marion County area.

Join our Citra group on Facebook if you want to help.

Financial donations are always welcomed!
